STOCKHOLM, Sweden and LEESBURG, VA – February 26, 2008 – Tail-f Systems, the leading developer of XML-based network management software, today announced that their CEO, Hakan Millroth, will speak about one of the latest trends in configuration management at the Mountain View Alliance Communications Ecosystem Conference (MVACEC). The conference will be held in South San Francisco on March 11-12.
Mr. Millroth will deliver his presentation on Wednesday, March 12 at 11:45 a.m. The presentation will discuss the practical applications of NETCONF and its role in addressing network challenges. NETCONF is an XML-based protocol that provides a new approach to automated network configuration management.
“Operators of both carrier and enterprise networks are under pressure to reduce operational costs and eliminate network outages,” said Hakan Millroth, President and CEO, Tail-f Systems. “NETCONF allows administrators to carry out complex configuration changes across multiple elements in a network as part of a single transaction with built-in mechanisms to validate changes and ensure consistency.”
Mr. Millroth will also participate in a panel discussion entitled “The Supply Chain and What is Happening at All Levels” on Tuesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. Representatives from British Telecom, Emerson Network Power, Intel, MontaVista, and RadiSys will complete the panel. Tail-f Systems will demonstrate its products in the exhibition hall.
