Positronic Named Manufacturer of the Year

Positronic Industries, Inc., has been named 2008 Manufacturer of the Year by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce in Springfield, Mo. The award was presented at a luncheon on Dec. 10.

Each year, the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the accomplishments of local manufacturing firms. Three finalists are evaluated on many factors, including business stability and growth, employee development, product development and sustainability, environmental performance, health and safety performance, and community involvement. A panel of judges visits each finalist’s facilities to experience the manufacturing process firsthand.

Founded in 1966, Positronic is a Springfield-based manufacturer of vertically integrated connectors. In addition to its connector products, the company offers in-house manufacturing and engineering services. Positronic has facilities in Puerto Rico, France, Singapore, India, and most recently China, as well as several Missouri locations.
