Lexington, Massachusetts, May 12, 2009 - Polaris Networks, a leading provider of Telecom Test Tools, is demonstrating its range of test tools for open standards in telecom hardware platforms and middleware, at the MTCA Summit, being held in Chantilly, Virginia from May 12-14, 2009.
Polaris Networks is demonstrating its latest Test tool, the HPI Tester, along with the existing and popular test tools like ATCA, MicroTCA and AMC testers, from Booth # 304, at the summit and also at the InterOp xTCASlotFest Demo.
The Polaris ATCA Tester, the only test tool authorized by CP-TA, is widely used by ATCA and AMC based building blocks or systems manufacturers to test Hardware Platform Management and IPMC Firmware implementations to CP-TA defined standards and attain CP-TA certification.
The MicroTCA & AMC testers, also being demonstrated at the summit, have been developed by Polaris in close consultation with CP-TA.. These testers with around 150 test cases each, have a user friendly GUI to execute tests and view test results. Some of the features of these testers include fully editable test cases, mapping of each test case to a PICMG specification, interactive and automatic tests, test reports in HTML format, complete decode of packets and scheduling of tests for future execution.
In addition to the above xTCA testers, Polaris is also demonstrating its latest, HPI Tester. This tester facilitates vendors of telecom middleware & applications and system integrators, in testing the ‘Hardware Platform Interface’ implementations to Service AvailabilityTM Forum defined HPI specifications. The current version of the HPI tester has over 800 API test cases and HPI-to-AdvancedTCA Mapping tests.
The MicroTCA Summit, being held at Chantilly-Virgina, attracts equipment vendors and end users of telecom hardware and software based on open standards, in a large way. This year, the organizers of the show have focused on xTCA applications in the military.
