Linley Tech Spring Conference 2010
Mountain View, Calif. - May 12, 2010 - NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. [NASDAQ: NETL], a worldwide leader in high-performance intelligent semiconductor solutions for next-generation Internet networks, today announced it will be presenting at The Linley Tech Spring Conference on May 18-19, 2010, at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, Calif. NetLogic Microsystems' presentations will focus on its leadership technologies and solutions in multi-core processing, knowledge-based processing and high-speed 10/40/100GE PHYs that are targeted at resolving bandwidth and security challenges for next-generation enterprise, telco infrastructure, and data-center networks.
NetLogic Microsystems' first presentation on May 18th, will be on "10/40/100G PHY Solutions Optimized for Telco, Backhaul and Next-Generation Data Centers." The datacenter market is witnessing one of the largest overhauls in recent history as both Internet and enterprise data centers are undergoing new build-outs or upgrades driven by bandwidth-hungry applications. These applications include video, social networking, and enterprise applications like cloud computing and desktop virtualization. The transition from 1GE to 10/40/100GE is a large part of these build-outs in the data center as well as the wide area network. NetLogic Microsystems will present its family of PHY technologies with a focus on a highly flexible unified 10-100Gbps solution for both telco and data-center/enterprise applications.
NetLogic Microsystems's second presentation on May 19th, will be on "Scaling Processor Solutions to Meet 10/40Gbps Network Security Challenges." This presentation will explain how the rapid migration from 10Gbps to 40Gbps and 100Gbps Ethernet is challenging current system architectures' ability to scale to deliver high-performance, full-featured UTM, IPS/IDS, and firewall security appliances for next-generation enterprise, telco infrastructure, and data-center networks. It will further explore how the challenges associated with bandwidth scaling are aggravated by the rapidly increasing need for application identification and content inspection driven by the growing sophistication and variety of potential security threats. NetLogic Microsystems will discuss the use of innovative multi-core, multi-threaded and content processor solutions to address these system architecture challenges.
The conference will focus on the processors, components, and interconnects for data-center networking and security processing, featuring presentations on 10GE switching and backplanes; data-center bridging and 40GE; LAN/SAN convergence and FCoE; low-latency systems interconnects; network security; and application switching. The conference is intended for network-equipment vendors, server OEMs, system designers, network service providers, enterprise-network managers, software developers, press, and the financial community.
