LIBERTYVILLE, IL, June 2, 2009 -- Chloride North America, a leader in power protection technology, today announced the expansion of its world-class single- and three-phase UPS system test facility, located within company headquarters in Libertyville, Illinois. Test capability at the facility, in terms of throughput as well as system size and complexity, now makes it one of the most powerful in the industry and capable of testing multiple 750 kVA UPS modules.
The aim of the expansion was to allow local customers to validate UPS performance first-hand and determine interoperability with other power system hardware, explained Chuck Heller, a Chloride Product Manager who helped spearhead the project: "Because our facility is located outside Chicago, it is an accessible resource for the growing number of area engineering companies and data center operators who can now attend witness testing and demonstrations without the cost and time demands of air travel. After the comprehensive testing is complete they can be assured of a trouble-free, faster UPS installation."
The 100,000-square-foot Chloride North America facility in Libertyville incorporates the newly expanded test area, an inventory of UPS modules up to 750 kVA stocked for fast delivery, a service dispatch center, a parts depot, LIFE.net online system monitoring center, and North American operations.
Chloride UPS products supported from the facility include the acclaimed Chloride 90NET Series of parallelable UPS modules which have proven themselves in data centers, hospitals, commercial buildings and other network infrastructures utilizing either conventional or advanced blade servers.
