Etters, PA (September 15, 2009) - FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect systems, has enhanced the production process for the BergStik®product range so that the right-angle and surface-mount units provide lowercosts and shorter lead times to customers. Improved manufacturing processes have lowered production costs, resulting in lower end-product costs and shorter lead times. These new developments result in a more economical solution for a wide range of electronic applications.
"FCI recognizes that economical solutions should still offer the same high level of performance achieved with connectors priced at a standard rate,"said FCI Product Manager, Franck Chapouilly. "In the process, the manufacturing changes we've employed allow for improved lead times andpurchasing flexibility."
The BergStik product family is available in surface-mount, through-hole and Pin-in-Paste versions with single- and double-row offerings, in straight or right-angle orientation, with two to 72 positions. Featuring a "breakaway" design, each connector can be cut or broken to length to suit the application profile. The maximum current rating is 3A per contact.
