WiMAX(R)/LTE Patent Claims Coverage Experts to Present at Upcoming Seminar
2 years 5 days ago → Media and Education
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 29 -- WiMAX(R)/LTE Patent Claims Coverage experts, Gregory J. Gorrie and Thomas G. Marlow, an Officer and Associate, respectively, of Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. will discuss perspectives on the patent claims coverage of the WiMAX(R)/LTE standard at an upcoming Palo Alto conference: "WiMAX(R)/LTE Innovation Landscape." Gorrie and Marlow's insights will be framed by case studies and presentations designed to help WiMAX(R)/LTE industry leaders understand the claims coverage issues relating to wireless communications.
The event, hosted by Silicon Valley intellectual property law firm Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. ("SLW"), Lucid Patent, LLC and Sunlight Research, LLC will take place on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2008, at the Sheraton Hotel in Palo Alto, California.
"WiMAX(R)/LTE Innovation Landscape" will include an overview of technology trends and will focus on a detailed examination of the claims coverage held by assignees under the WiMAX(R)/LTE standards. SLW will also discuss lessons learned while working with members of the WiMAX Forum(R).
The seminar will highlight key findings of two recently published reports by Sunlight Research covering all U.S. WiMAX(R)/LTE patents and pending applications. Each report compares and contrasts the patent coverage relating to these two competing, next-generation wireless standards. The analysis, which comprehensively evaluated more than 5,000 issued patents and pending patent applications, is driven by ClaimBot(R), a robust software application that helps patent experts, business managers, and investors to rapidly sort, rank, and analyze patent claims coverage. ClaimBot(R)'s ability to drill-down to the claims level of an individual patent makes it a valuable tool for claims analysis and as an adjunct resource for business planning and valuation.
