Columbus, Ohio (December 9, 2008) — Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, recently appointed Victor Lee chief technology officer to guide technology innovation across all of the business’s 12 centers of expertise. In this role, Lee brings increased focus and consistency to research and development platforms addressing continuity challenges in the most critical data center, telecommunications, alternative energy, systems integration and power conversion environments.
Lee stresses that this focus will be vital amid a challenging economic climate where any downtime could have major ramifications. The conditions have created a renewed emphasis on business continuity and an increasing demand for energy efficient technologies and solutions. Additionally, any executives authorizing strategic technology investments must emphasize product dependability and flexibility to their vendor partners. Lee said Emerson Network Power products and solutions will meet these expectations while building on the strong commitment to innovation that defines the business.
“As a global technology leader, it is imperative that Emerson Network Power continues to challenge itself and the market to develop innovative technologies that make our customers’ lives easier and businesses more competitive,” Lee said. “I am dedicated to keeping our efforts focused on solving business continuity challenges through innovative approaches to conventional solutions as well as increased attention to environmentally-friendly alternative energy technologies. I look forward to continued collaboration between the company’s leadership and our teams of innovators to anticipate issues we’ll confront in the future.”
Lee founded Texas-based Innoveta Technologies (now TDK Innoveta Inc.) in 2000, where he served as president and CEO. Previously, he worked as a senior executive for AT&T/Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies, where he served for 17 years. Throughout his career, he has secured 15 U.S. patents.
