ESC Conference -- CUPERTINO, Calif. & CARLSBAD, Calif.--RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of High Performance Processor Solutions for networking, communications, and media rich applications, announced today that JumpGen Systems (JumpGen), an agile, innovative supplier of embedded processor board solutions, has joined the RMI Partner Alliance extending Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) product offerings for the Infrastructure markets. JumpGen is developing a packet processing AdvancedMC™ (PrAMC) featuring the RMI® XLS416 Multi-Core Multi-Threaded Processor. The addition of JumpGen to the Partner Alliance provides RMI’s customers more ODM/OEM partner options to deploy the XLS® Processor in PICMG® standards-based or customer specified form factors. The PrAMC will be available for early access customers in Q2 2009.

The RMI Partner Alliance delivers to its customers a breadth of communications protocols and a wide array of networking systems solutions to support the design of embedded technologies for the high-performance networking infrastructure. Customers directly benefit from the RMI Partner Alliance’s ability to offer solutions across a broad market including security, wireless and consumer media applications.

“JumpGen Systems is eager to provide an AMC solution complete with the multi-core multi-threaded solution from RMI and we are excited to be an embedded board ODM/OEM partner of RMI,” said Harry White, president, JumpGen Systems. “We believe that RMI’s XLS Processor will be an excellent building block for next generation wireless systems as we continue to expand our offerings in the infrastructure marketplace.”

“With JumpGen delivering a packet processing AMC with RMI’s latest XLS416 Processor technology, our customers will have more options to deploy RMI products and quickly get to market with a readily available AMC,” added Mark Litvack, director of business development, RMI.

RMI products push the edge of processor technology in performance and integration, and are used by system and original equipment manufacturers to address the infrastructure, enterprise, and consumer markets. The company's XLR Processor®, XLS Processor® and Alchemy® Processor families are based on an innovative MIPS®-compatible architecture creating highly-integrated designs incorporating advanced RMI internal architectures and built on leading-edge silicon process technologies.
