Chicago, Illinois, WiMAX World 2007 – September 26, 2007 –Tundra Semiconductor Corporation (TSX:TUN), a global leader in System Interconnect, announced today that the Company has sublicensed the Tundra Serial RapidIO® Tsi578 MicroTCA™ Switching Module (Tsi578MSM™) reference design to Mercury Computer Systems. Mercury intends to manufacture and integrate the Tsi578MSM into Mercury's MicroTCA-based Ensemble™ systems for WiMAX and LTE wireless applications, in addition to video, military imaging, and signal processing applications.

“The Tsi578MSM provides the high-speed 10 Gbps RapidIO fabric backplane interconnect and complements Mercury's Ensemble MicroTCA systems for next-generation wireless applications,” said Greg Tiedemann, Director of ATCA Business Development at Mercury. “Combined with Mercury's broad range of AMCs and enabling software, the Tsi578MSM is also ideally suited to low-latency, high-performance commercial and military data plane applications.”

In May 2007, Tundra announced that the Company collaborated with Ericsson to license a MicroTCA Switching Module. The module was originally designed by Ericsson, and subsequently licensed to Tundra to accelerate the deployment of Serial RapidIO-enabled MicroTCA systems.

“This announcement is another significant milestone in the RapidIO market, as we continue to see adoption of RapidIO technology for use in WiMAX, and 3G LTE deployments,” said Daniel Hoste , President and Chief Executive Officer, Tundra Semiconductor. “Tundra and Mercury continue to work closely together to deploy industry-leading RapidIO solutions. Leveraging the proven Tsi578MSM, Mercury will accelerate their customer's time to market with a scalable MicroTCA solution,” continued Hoste.
